Jeff says We have a few. Dave, we call him Skippy. He has a bowling move where he does a little skip. They used to call me maestro for some reason, I don't know why...

Jeff says Chuck is "chuckles", "funky C"... haha. I forgot. Pierre doesn't really have one.

Xx-Jo-Yee-xX asks What is the funniest thing you guys have read on the SP Crew forum/message board?

Jeff says That this tour was a reunion tour - that we broke up !! Some people hadn't seen us in awhile. People thought this was a reunion tour!! Some artists in the pop world release albums very very often. But we write our own songs so it took awhile to make this record. A lot of people were apparently wondering what was going on -- if we had broken up. But we're in good shape, it is going real good !

roxannie asks do you guys have time 4 ur social life ?

Jeff says Right now, not very much.. I gotta say. We are fortunate enough that the five of us can just kind of go out together. We're friends first and foremost. We also make friends touring. We go back to cities that we've been to before and visit those friends. Also, our friends in Montreal, we see when we're home. We try to be there for them. It is a big effort but it is important to keep friends.

Jeff says I just hung out with a good friend in Minneapolis the other day - we hung out in the sun and had a good time!!

roxannie asks waz makin that new album a diffcult challenge?

Jeff says It was because wehad the desire to kind of change things up a little bit. But that was kind of a very abstract concept. We didn't really know how to achieve it. We just rolled up our sleeves and experimented.

Jeff says I think it was a tough record to write. As far as making it in the studio, it went really good. We tried to make it sound as much like us as possible, but also push the envelope a little bit and make some new sounds.

sharondart asks hey guys! i love your new album and saw you in glasgow, scotland. and was wondering if you were planning on coming back anytime soon?

Jeff says International tour ... Well we have been in europe, we were there for 7 weeks. We're also heading out to Japan in two weeks. Probably Australia before the end of the year. We aren't doing a full world tour btu we're kind of hitting markets as people demand it. We're always around and just playing as many places as we can.

Luana_Love_SP asks Hi guys! How are you? are you thinking to make a DVD live like Mtv hard rock live?

Jeff says We've done it before so it would make very little sense to do it again. But we had our first DVD come out five or six years ago about our life on the road, backstage stuff. That did really good, I think our fans really appreciated it. We're trying version 2.0 this time around, it will be quite different and we've changed quite a lot. We've got a lot of great footage of the wild stuff that

Jeff says we're doing... maybe we'll add some live footage too. It is kind of a project that we have, that we are definitely doing !

Iamnobody asks What is the weirdest thing you've ever heard or given by your fans??? by the way, i'm one of ur fans...

Jeff says Weirdest thing..hmm.. Pierre used to say when he was in Spain that he liked this cured ham there. Fans started giving us ham everywhere in Spain. It was pretty odd to me. It seemed like an interesting gift to give to a musician. I thought that was pretty interesting.

Jeff says Yeah I mean we're always open to that, Gwen Stefani would be a good one to collaborate with. Black Eyed Peas. There are a lot of cool acts. There are a lot of people that we'd love to work with in the future...

Jeff says It didn't really happen on this record because we just wanted to do our thing and finish it up. It is definitely something that we'll look into in the future.

lyds asks What's the worst thing about tour?

Jeff says Not having a shower next to your bunk when you wake up. And you know what, being away from your loved ones...

Jeff says But it is a pretty cool life. You hang out with your friends, play music. When you have that teenage dream of being in a rock band and it actually happens, it is pretty magical. There are a lot more positives than negatives.

caityhep asks Whats the Best advice youve ever recieved before starting Simple Plan?

Jeff says The best advice was, we had a lot of people early on tell us that what were doing was pretty useless, dropping out of university/college was a bad idea. But people told us to stick by it. They told us to work hard. Every single amazing story of success came with hard work. You need to persevere. Keep it up,

Jeff says Just keep your head up and do your thing.

jessica11 asks what was the longest you guys have ever been separated?

Jeff says Between the second and third record, we all kind of went our own ways for a ltitle bit, probably a few months. We kind of took time apart for a pretty long period actually. That was the longest time.

davidsp asks if you see a country you really like, would you go and live there?

Jeff says I gotta say, there's nothing like home. You have your friends, your family. Nothing like home. Yet, I spent a lot of time in Australia and I really love that country. Who knows, maybe in the future, I'd spend more time there. Maybe a year or so. Who knows where life leads you. If the country was completely amazing, you never know.... I went to Spain when I was younger and really loved it

Jeff says We stole Chuck's computer probably five or six years ago and hid it. We forgot where we hid it and he never got it back. That's a pretty shitty prank. We never reimbursed him, we felt pretty bad ..

Jeff says I think it's awesome. Music is a really great passtime. It is something that is so rich, there is so much beauty in it. You get to express some really great things in a simple way. Practicing music is a great discipline. I was an angry teenager and music was there to help me out ...

Jeff says When people say that they started guitar because of me or singing because of Pierre, it is really flattering.

Jeff says Recently, I can't remember the show but he flipped his microphone and he dropped it into the pit right in front of the barricade. He was in the middle of the song with no microphone. There was like 10 seconds where he had no mic. it was a funny 10 seconds.

LeFrann asks What’s the craziest thing a fan has ever done?

Jeff says For my birthday, I think it was two years ago, some fans had an actual party for me. It was online. they had a balloon and they drew my face on it. That was the symbol of me at the party. They sang me happy brithday, had a big cake, posted it on Youtube. That was pretty wild.

h3l3n asks what do you do just before going on stage?

Jeff says I just tend to warm up, play the guitar. Play stuff that the guys are annoyed with because they've heard it a million times. We do a thing that we called "the pound" where we pound fists and say have a good show. We just jump into it. A lot of people put a lot of emphasis on what happens BEFORE the show but the SHOW is the main thing! Just do your thing.

MiahDD asks Who's your favourite band to hang with?

Jeff says Bowling for Soup were amazing. They're just such party freaks. We were with them in Dallas recently. They're fun to hang out with.

Jeff says All the bands we toured with, we kept in touch. We are good friends with many of them.

Jeff says Every time we hang out it is a good time - probably too much of a good time.

Iamnobody asks Have u guys had any huge fight before??? Can u guys describe it???

Jeff says Oh for sure, we're like brothers. Sometimes it gets really intense. At the end of the day, we are all better. We fight a little and then move on. It is like being brothers.

Jeff says But you can't hold a grudge.

Kathygurl20 asks How does it feel to be big time rockstarts?

Jeff says You know what, it is kind of something that you don't think about all day. Once in awhile you have moments where you're like "wow this is really big". One time that it really occurred to me that it was really big, we were at the airport and a bunch of people mobbed us. By the time we got to the hotel, there were fans waiting for us.

Jeff says We had to escape from the back door just to get out of the hotel. It was the moment where I was like "wow, we're kinda big". Once in awhile you get those moments where you realize you're successful. But yeah on a daily basis we're just playing music, friends hanging out. You try to stay level headed about it.

Pierre says I just like it. It's something that I'm into. It has some symbols that I dig.. it doesn't really have an extreme meaning.

Jeff says All of them really. They're about different things...

Jeff says It's a big thing to put your personal life into your songs and share that with people.

h3l3n asks what do you miss the most when you're not at home?

Jeff says A lot of things. Obviously my loved ones, that is the biggest part.

Jeff says It is cool to be in your own bed, have a fridge full of food, a shower ...

Jeff says You know every single day when you have a show, there are some days where you're like "today is just not good" and you don't want to hit the stage. But as soon as the fans start cheering, you forget about it. I've never had a show where I was like "oh man this is taking too long". We have amazing fans who are very very into the music. They keep you energized. While you're playing you're not

Jeff says thinking about anything else!

simpleplanluvr6 asks what is your fav song on guitar hero (any one)

Jeff says Absolutely we play a lot of it! When we're in the studio we got really good at it. Sebastien is probably the best at it. We're all pretty good except for Chuck. We also play "Rock Band". Chuck played on television once against a VJ and we were very afraid he was going to lose... but he got it. He's not that bad but he's not that great either.
